We would be happy to see you at the exhibition by Alisa Yoffe ‘Under the pavement – beach!’ on August 9 at 7 pm at the studio of the Foundation of Vladimir Smirnov and Konstantine Sorokin.
‘I build installations that fill the entire space of the studio like an expanded sculpture. Black figures stand out on white surfaces. Images move from one medium to another. From the wall to canvas, from canvas to paper, from paper to fabric, from fabric to the floor, from the floor to the ceiling. Audience surrounded by drawings feels like they are in the middle of the panorama of events.
The painted installation shows scenes inspired by the life of a modern metropolis with numerous cars, video cameras, police and ads, and the computer world of icons and the worldwide web with fake news, videos, contextual ads, social media and emojis.’
