Foundation in social networks:

The \”Golden rain\” project

3 December 2014

The \”Golden rain\” project was presented at the studio on Burakova street 27 by Vladimir Smirnov & Konstantin Sorokin Foundation on the 6th of December: three chosen residents were Stas Volyazlovsky, Tigran Kachatryan and Vika Begalskaya.

All of the artists have worked on rather feministic projects with the uniting idea of feminine love. Stas Volyazlovsky tells in his distinctive phantasmagoric manner the story of his ex-wives’ love who had to form a family unit after Cupid’s interference and enchantment. Vika Begalskaya keeps on experimenting with the subject of prostitution in the context of libertarian discourse and presents the portraits of modern geishas and courtesans to the audience. The artist from the city of Yerevan, Tigran Kachatryan, proves with his revolutionary passion that ‘A modern woman is an independent individual and her interests do not come to nothing more than home, family and love’. The same idea shares Alexandra Kolontay.
